Episode 18 – Class Ring

What’s that smell? What just came fresh-baked out of the oven? I don’t know but after a conversion to MP3 it sounds exactly like our next podcast.

Episode 18 covers:

  • Our PAX and Triple Door event schedule
  • Watching Netflix in the car
  • Affleck as Batman and how we’ve all moved on (read Mikey’s essay here!)
  • A budding romance
  • Lots more product placement

And of course, this is the last chance to get tickets for our LIVE shows at the Triple Door in Seattle, coming this Thursday (August 29) and Friday (August 30). After this week, if you manage to get tickets, you will have missed the actual shows.

Best part was covering up your conversation each time KimCat walked into the room. You'd think you had a LOT of experience doing this.

Mikey you can be the barker for Kris's booth (if he should need one).

Kris when you have time (ha ha), the banner on this page should say "chainsawsuit the podcast" (or whatever you want, who am I to say).

Oh, and tell those Penny Arcade people, if NJ is good enough for the SuperBowl, it's good enough for PAXEast–bring that party here!

  2. stise says:

Kris, do I detect a hint of jealousy behind your enthusiasm for Mikey's burgeoning relationship with Kim?

  3. Matt M says:

Kris, I commented after 16 that y'alls talk made me want to look into something for my depression/anxiety and after a bit of research, decided I was most comfortable with SAMe, which is a supplement that's been shown to help with those symptoms. Anyway, I've been taking it a little over a week now and noticed decreased symptoms within two days and zero side effects. Just thought I'd throw that out there, since you and Mikey were the impetus for the search, and you mentioned your anxiety was coming back in this week's podcast.

    Great show as always.

  4. Nerfherderhan says:

So REI ad's all over the page for you right now. BackPACKS must be happenin' for realsies.

  5. Stardust Witch says:

Good one this week, first half had me laughing.

  6. groklife says:

The Jostens commercial had me rolling! Kris, being intensely uncomfortable with the product, but then at the end adding the bit about brought to you by Jostens? Classic. Good stuff, guys! Wish you would make it to my neck of the woods (Charlotte, NC) at some point… Hope you both sell out of goods at PAX and have the room full to SRO levels for your panels and talks!

  7. @Kiwihopper says:

Love these podcasts. Much like the Andy Griffiths Show, they's good listenin', so thankyou for that!

Mikey sounded genuinely nervous around KC!

  8. Justin says:

I think tiny turtle needs a regular segment.

  9. @fucrate says:

Mikey, I bet a college education isn't required for a job where you sit around and play video games all day, but for 99.9% of the world it has been accepted that a college education is worth the investment EVEN considering the current student loan climate.

If only we all had jobs which only required us to write crude jokes and guzzle mountain dew, perhaps university educations would not be so necessary.

Kris, keep up the good work, you are a saint.

    • MikeyNeumann says:

Clearly I struck your only nerve.

      • @fucrate says:

I regretted the comment almost the instant I posted it, I was trying to be funny by reducing your job to "playing video games". Sorry I did it poorly, you guys are both great.

I would just delete it now shamefully if I could…

        • MikeyNeumann says:

Oh, okay. I kinda got the comedy vibe because it was SO aggressive, but I wasn't sure.

I'm not scared for my life anymore knowing you were joking. So, everything is good!

  10. Tom says:

Kim is working at the exact midpoint between Seattle and Dallas…also known as Cialis.

Sorry, I have this uncontrollable portmanteau instinct.

  11. Tiny Turtle makes me want to cry, I'm not sure why. :(
