say what you want, he does a great job containing leased offices
daddy, what does sentient mean?
As long as Action Champ Walkaway doesn't have business inside him.
"It's quittin' time. Permanently."
the first panel was hilarious, then the rest was godawful.
kidding aside, i love today's strip. the art's pretty great too. just solid and simple and almost inspiring. i love it. if you don't mind, i will accept it as a kickass open birthday present.
It's Friday niiiiiiiigggghhht!!! Time to paaarty!
…and by party I mean sit here motionless.
I read it, stared at it for 2 seconds, then it was suddenly hilarious =p
Sadly, his only friends are other buildings. Saul the School, Tara the Tenement, Andy Apartment Complex, and Willy the Welfare Office.
An Officious gay building Inspector played by Sean Hayes of Will and Grace provides an adversary and comic foil to Hector.
What've you got against buildings, man? Some of my best friends are buildings!
I've got nothing against buildings. Hector has something against humans.
the concept of sentient buildings needs polish.
sentient elevators on the other hand, comedic gold.
This could be a Pixar movie.
In these days of "smart homes" and "smart buildings", Hector is pretty close to real.
I think I have a new favorite character!
The nerdy guy from super boobs-look-at high school 3. Yeah, he's definitely my favorite.
Roger Ebert, why can't you keep your mouth shut?
God damn, that's cold. (I laughed anyway)
He was worried he wasn't going to make it to Friday. So he's a sentient and paranoid building.
HECTOR WAS AN INSIDE JOB
I was totally thinking tgif today too! Great minds think alike, eh Hector?
Oh Hector, you charmer.
Hector's looking kinda stiff.
I like the shadow effect around the sun.
I bet he shits a brick if a plane starts flying towards him.
Is rebar his "fiber?"
Wait, what else would buildings even poop? So wouldn't that be like, a normal thing for him?
Yeah it must be hard maintaining an erection all week.
not when your mother's around
I thought it was a explosion on the third panel.
Oh yea, did anyone notice that the pointy thing at the top got smaller at night?
It didn't. Kris is just lazy, and had the building and background on seperate layers. Insert black background, and the outline of the building goes away, making the needle appear smaller.
Actually, chainsawsuitwiki states any oddities in the artstyle are considered intended by Kris. Therefore, the shortening for the antenna is considered canon and can now only be refuted with proper retcon procedures.
I still say It's a building-erection.
No, no it didn't–it's just a subtle change in perspective…
Maybe he could talk to Sally's schoolbuilding…
